Meet Glenda McCorkle

Executive Director & Founder of Shepherd's Hand Ministry
 

Meet Glenda L. McCorkle. Glenda was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina. Glenda is the daughter of the late Alfred and Flora Horton McCorkle and is one of eight siblings. Glenda has two sons, the late Jelani McCorkle, and Jamar Covington. In addition, Glenda is blessed with six grandchildren, Cameron, Janelle, Chaniya, Anya, Zoey, Zyan, and Dezmond. 

 

Glenda was introduced to Christ early on through her mother, Flora. When Glenda was 12 years old, she decided to receive Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour through her Great Aunt, the late Pansey Witherspoon. Glenda discovered her God-given purpose in 1997 to be used by Christ as an evangelist to spread the good news of Jesus to her local community.

 

Glenda retired from the Kohls Department Store as a Customer Service Supervisor. Glenda is also the former owner of Blessed Creations Hair Salon. Glenda now serves as the founder and executive director of Shepherd’s Hand Ministry. In covenant with Transformation Ministries International Glenda also serves as an assist-presiding prelate and administrator.

Fun Facts About Glenda

  • Glendas' hobbies include traveling (specifically cruising), listening to music, crocheting, helping, and serving others. 

 

  • Glendas' favorite Scripture is Nehemiah 8:10 “The joy of the Lord is my strength."

 

  • Glenda has an immense love for people. Her greatest desire is to see the Kingdom of God established here on earth by helping lead souls to Christ, as well as helping train and equip the body of Christ.
